Diamond Julie - Midlands Business Insider

Diamond light 💎

The future is female, according the latest edition of Midlands Business Insider magazine as it tracks leading businesswomen from across the region.

And, having been described as One to Watch by Construction News earlier in the year, D-Drill & Sawing managing director Julie White has been named in Insider’s list of the region’s ‘most exciting and inspiring female entrepreneurs’.

The article, which features 15 businesswomen, describes her as ‘Diamond Julie’ and says she has been ‘sparkling in the construction sector since she bought the family business in 2008’.

It cites her experiences of running the company and also her role as Chair of Build UK and representing construction on the Government’s Small Business Council.

Julie said: “I am delighted and humbled to feature alongside some incredible businesswomen in this feature. I love reading about other entrepreneurs and how they’ve steered the businesses through good times and more challenging periods. It’s also great that we can continue to ensure that construction gets the profile it deserves, especially those of us who are specialist contractors, in order to make sure we can bring through the next generation of staff.
