Julie White gives industry verdict

D-Drill managing director Julie White featured in a recent edition of highly-regarded magazine Construction News.

Julie was asked for her thoughts on regulation and which piece of red tape should be erased.

She told Construction News:

“The regulation I would like to erase is the one surrounding retirement age. My fear is that it will stifle our younger generation and our belief in apprentices.

“It will prohibit their opportunity to contribute to their own pension schemes and possibly create lethargy amongst those at school leaving age at the prospect of diminished job opportunities.

“I think that we need the balance of young and old in our SMEs but currently I will not be able to employ new young eager workers with different ideas whilst I am employing those that traditionally made way for them when they retired.”
