D-Drill head to awards ceremony on the back of industry praise

D-Drill has once again received industry praise for its training and development of staff.
The diamond drilling and concrete sawing specialist, which has offices throughout the UK and a headquarters in Coventry, were highly commended at the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) awards.
The awards recognise excellence throughout the construction industry across the West Midlands.
Alan Rogers, operations director at D-Drill, said: “This is yet another case of our commitment to training and development being recognised by our industry.
“We have continued to invest in training, in our apprentices and our staff in general as we believe that it is the only way to grow you business, particularly in the current economic climate.
“To be highly commended by WMCCE is another feather in our cap to go with other recent award wins.”
D-Drill heads to London on Tuesday (July 10) evening to discover if it has won one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.
The company has been shortlisted in the training category of the Construction News awards and are up against some of the biggest names in the industry.
Alan added: “It is really positive news for D-Drill to be shortlisted because this covers every company across our industry – many with bigger training budgets than we have turnover!
“We have shown that with our commitment to training and development that it can have a very positive effect on the company and, in turn, our clients.
“We are very much looking forward to the awards and, of course, we would love to win but are proud of all of the team’s efforts in being shortlisted.”
