D-Drill on top of the world

Explorer Mark Wood has been to the most northerly and southerly points on earth – now he’s setting his sights on the highest. 

The Coventry-based adventurer went to the North and South Poles in 2011, with assistance from a range of local sponsors including drilling and sawing specialists D-Drill. 

Mark, who sent this message (click here) back to the UK from the North Pole as a special thank you to D-Drill, is planning his next major adventure – to climb Everest. 

He will use the trip as another opportunity to deliver an environmental message to schoolchildren and has agreed a sponsorship agreement with Skype.

“We wish him every success on his next adventure.”
