D-Drill creates openings at Amazon Fulfilment centre

D-Drill were called out to a job at the Amazon New Fulfilment Centre in Airport City, Wythenshaw, Manchester, an automated, state of the art handling centre.
The task was to create various openings into the existing concrete structure & floor, for creation of pilecap openings for the new mezzanine floors. Approximately 500 tonnes of concrete were removed.

Work was completed on time due to piling rigs following up behind ( D-Drill had four floor saws in operation & two trailer mounted core drills working self-contained). The job ran like a military operation.

The job was dust and vibration free, in contrast with traditional methods of breaking out. The openings were clean cuts and lifted out smoothly causing minimal disruption to the client.
