Exploratory drilling at a stone wall in South Yorkshire
D-Drill were called out to private rented accommodation to establish the make-up of an existing natural stone retaining wall after a buttress collapse.
The biggest challenges for the team were that they did not know the thickness of the wall that was being drilled. The team also had to work at height to drill the wall. 9 holes were drilled from 1500 – 2600mm deep into the wall.
The landlord was very happy with the work as the residents were not disturbed with noise and the area was left clean and tidy.
