St Helens Track Sawing & Demolition

D-Drill & Sawing were called in to help with a J N Bentley contract at St Helens WTW Underground Service Reservoir.

Initially, our expert team used a 3 phase tracksaw to cut a 9m x 4.5m opening in the roof slab of the reservoir to provide both access and ventilation. We then cut the slab in to smaller pieces and used a crane to remove the concrete from the site.

Once inside the reservoir we used a Brokk 180 to remove a section of ballast wall which was 96 lin mtrs long x 4.5 mtrs high x 220 mm deep block work. We also created a 108 lin mtr trench across the base of the Service Reservoir floor.#
