Vibration Risk Assessment / HAVS
Vibration White Finger, also known as Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome can lead to pain and long term damage to hands and muscles. New regulations came into force in 2005 emphasising the legal requirement to recognize and prevent vibration exposure. D-Drill responded speedily, embedding new policies and procedures and training all operatives to ensure they minimise exposure to the potential problem. In many cases the risk has been eliminated completely by the introduction of remote control equipment. Not only does this mean that the operative can keep a safe distance, but smaller or dangerous places can now be reached, offering more flexibility in the project.
